The Kaoree Staff was a strong double-sided blade weapon wielded by Kaimu during the finale of the fan-made comic, KAIMU: A Bionicle Story. The Kaoree Staff was formerly a flute that was Kaimu's most prized possession.
History
Metru Nui
During Kaimu's musician days in Le-Metru, Kaimu used a very obsolete flute made from various pieces of junk that caused him to annoy his fellow Matoran whenever he played it. Kaimu's good friend, Makani, built him a brand new one.
After being stuffed into a Matoran Sphere, Kaimu lost all his memories upon arriving at his new home, Mata Nui, including his life as a musician.

Upon being stuffed into the Matoran Sphere, the flute built by Makani had broken during transport to Mata Nui but Kaimu had a sudden connection to it when he observed it after climbing out of the sphere. Kaimu used the flute's current state as a blueprint to create a brand new one that he would play non-stop.
Kaimu's skills with the new flute earned him a place in Le-Koro's band, but Kaimu would wander off and play his flute in isolation which would annoy the other band members. Sometimes, Kaimu would use his flute to sooth other Matoran who were in distress and it would usually make them more relaxed.
During the Bohrok attacks, Kaimu and his friends fled to the dunes of Po-Wahi to hide but ended up getting lost in the process. Kaimu used his flute to sooth his friend Itoito who was exhausted from the walk. After being fatally wounded by an attacking Pahrak, both Kaimu and his flute were placed into a pool of thriving Energized Protodermis by Itoito and Kote.
A shining being resembling Kaimu then rose from the pool, which had morphed the flute into a powerful double-sided weapon called the Kaoree Staff. The Kaimu-like entity used the Kaoree Staff to defeat the Pahrak by piercing their armour and striking them with immense force. As he returned to the pool from once he came, the Kaimu-like entity took his durable weapon with him.
