Jonavus is a Makuta from the Legends Universe.
History[]
Jonavus joined Ruinax during the overthrowing of Miserix and Teridax. When Ruinax told him to gather his own personal team. When Jonavus came back, he and his newly acquired team tried to kill Ruinax, However, the Ladder killed the team and beat Jonavus. this would be one of many attempts to overthrow him, the others included poisoning him, setting a bomb on his back, and hiring an assassin to kill him. However, Jonavus always failed and was punished severely for his treachery by Ruinax. Nestrum was eventually assigned to keep an eye on him and to make sure he didn't get into trouble.
Personality[]
Jonavus is ruthless, However, He is also a conniving, selfish, cunning, arrogant narcissist with delusions of Grandeur, often looking down on Ruinax and his fellow Makuta as thugs and murderers who will one day betray one another, which coming from him, Is extremely hypocritical. He is incredibly ambitious and doesn't attempt to conceal the fact he wants to overthrow Ruinax and assume leadership of the Brotherhood, but will never act unless the situation guarantee's his success. He prefers to use speed, underhanded tactics, and guile to defeat his foes, rather than the brute destructive force used by his superior. Jonavus believes himself superior to others unlike Ruinax who saw the faults in himself, Jonavus believes himself to be a righteous being of integrity. He considers his soul as pure, his purity as pride only instead being slightly less merciful for failures As mentioned before he is traitorous on occasion. When he does something, it is usually for his own personal benefit. He is also petty and hypocritical, punishing his subordinates for the smallest reason or transgression. This causes his fellow Makuta to dislike him even further.
Abilities, Mask, and Tools[]
Jonavus has the elemental power of Shadows and had 42 Rahkshi powers and the ability to produce Kraata. his most commonly used Powers are Hunger, Poison, Sonics, Fragmentation, Silence, and Heat Vision. He wears a Kanohi Zollih, the mask of Limitation, which gives him the power to reduce the capabilities of enemy powers, like Great Kanohi to Nobel kanohi level power. The Nobel can only target one opponent and they must be focused upon. Toa consider this mask immoral.
