Istaria is a Toa of Water, famous for her numerous exploits.
History[]
Istaria was a Ga-Matoran who was turned into a Toa of Water and became the protector of her village on the Southern Continent. One day, during a fight, she lost her temper and accidentally killed an opponent, and was thus banished from her village. She became ostracized and most Toa and Matoran avoided her. She started travelling in the Universe, looking to make amends. Eventually, she found a village where the inhabitants, in desperate need of a Toa, did not reject her. The Turaga tasked her with protecting the village from various threats.
First, he told her of a river that initially went through the village allowed the Matoran to get water, until it was taken over by a monster which started to take all the water for itself, growing bigger and more thristy as it drank. Getting water became extremely dangerous, and many Matoran died, killed by the monster. Istaria confronted the monster and tried to repel it, but it proved far too big and powerful and it merely ignored her assaults. She tried to manipulate the water's current to take it away from the monster, but it entered a rage and nearly destroyed the region. So Istaria instead tracked the water's source and managed to create another stream that joinded the village ; this way, both the Matoran and the creature could access water.
Istaria was then tasked with stopping a herd of Kikanalo that regularly rampaged through the region, threatening the village. She caught up with the Kikanalo and, using her Kanohi, learned that they had been struck by the power of Anger of a wandering Rahkshi. She was able to track the Rahkshi and destroy it, freeing the Kikanalo.
Istaria was later sent to fight Vortixx bandits who raided the shipments of goods that were supposed to go to the village. She was able to defeat the three of them.
