History[]

Hydraxon and his species were one of the oldest creations of the Great Beings, being created even before Helryx, the first Toa, ever came to be.

Hydraxon was originally a member of the Hand of Artakha. After its disbanding due to the undisciplined nature of many of its members, he eventually became the first to be invited to join the Order of Mata Nui by Toa Helryx. As one of his first missions, Hydraxon was tasked with recruiting fellow former Hand member Axonn into the Order. He was later called upon to train the then newly created Toa Mata. Hydraxon trained the Toa in melee combat, fighting them himself and later testing their compatibility with one another, unmasking them and forcing them to work together as a team.

After his part in training the Toa Mata concluded, Hydraxon was assigned to be the jailer of a prison called the Pit, and was assisted by several Maxilos robots. 10'000 years later, Hydraxon was severely injured when an underwater cave-in caused a prison breakout to suddenly occur. One of the prisoners, Takadox, came across the wounded Hydraxon and used the opportunity to fatally wound him, but not before the Barraki Warlord was slain by the Jailer's Wrist Blades. Hydraxon then died from his wounds shortly afterwards.

A century later, a Po-Matoran Aqua Hunter named Dekar came across a strange mask embedded in the seabed floor, which unbeknownst to him, was the Kanohi Ignika, the Legendary Mask of Life. The mask then transformed Dekar with its energies into a replica of Hydraxon and immediately disappeared soon after. The new Hydraxon then travelled around the undersea city of Mahri Nui, killing off the remaining prisoners who had escaped from the Pit long ago after tracking them down.

Eventually, Hydraxon was alerted about the presence of an organization called Kuurk's Empire through sonar frequencies he began hearing from far away. Intrigued with curiosity, Hydraxon soon left Mahri Nui and slowly ascended toward the surface, eventually coming ashore in Ga-Metru. The Jailer eventually tracked down the organization's headquarters, and willingly decided to join the organization, becoming the Empire's undersea Sergeant.

Hydraxon was among many members of the Empire to emigrate over to the Earth-like planet of Helvean when the organization moved its base of operations there.

Abilities and Traits[]

Hydraxon carried a strong sense of justice and was dedicated to his job, never giving up on recapturing escaped prisoners. As with all former Order of Mata Nui members, Hydraxon's mind was shielded against Telepathy and mental attacks. He was also a master of weaponry and an expert in all variations of combat tactics with all types of weapons. Hydraxon also had very sensitive hearing.

The second Hydraxon possesses the same set of abilities the original did, including his combat skills and mental shielding, in addition to his sensitive hearing. He also exhibits the same personality, with a dedication to his profession. The Ignika gave Dekar the original Hydraxon's memories and suppressed the memories of his time as a Matoran. While the section of Hydraxon's mind that holds all memories as an Order of Mata Nui member is shielded, the section of his mind that holds his memories as Dekar is not, and is accessible to mind-readers. Despite having a faint recollection of his time as a Matoran, Hydraxon is oblivious to his true origins. Even when presented with evidence of his past, he refuses to acknowledge its relevence, including the death of the original Hydraxon.

Hydraxon wears a great Kanohi Mask of Imposition, which allows him to dissuade an individual of his/her current actions.
