Hirutu is the one and only Toa of Protodermis. He was formerly a Toa of Stone.
Biography[]
Matoran[]
Hirutu was a Matoran of Stone and a skilled one too, but he was disliked by most of his tribe. One reason was he was very good at everything he did and more talented than most the Matoran in his village. The other reason was he was always talking about how he was destined for greater things. Then one day the tribe's Turaga called for him. He told him that from the day he first saw him he knew he was meant to be a Toa.
Toa of Stone[]
Once he was changed into a Toa his village treated him like a hero because he was one. He went on many adventures.Some with the other five toa but most were alone. The other Toa soon grew angry with him because he was absent for many of the adventures they went on which made it much more difficult for them. Then one day Mata Nui himself asked them to retreive the Mask of Life because he feared that five Makuta were soon to steal it. When they finally made it to the chamber that had the Ignika in it, The Makuta arrived. Five of the Toa jumped into battle. Hirutu was left alone when, just as he spotted the Ignika, the other Toa called for help.He had a choice to make, and the mask seemed a lot more promising. He made his decision and put on the Mask of Life.
Protodermis Mutation[]
When he put on the mask he used its power to capture the five Makuta, but two of the Toa were permanantly injured. Mata Nui, furious at Hirutu, threw him into a vad of Energized Protodermis. But in his rage, Mata Nui had forgotten that Hirutu was wearing the Mask of Life and the Energized Protodermis would not destroy the Mask of Life and it was intrigued by Hirutu. The Protodermis knew it was not his destiny to wear the Ignika, and yet he was. Then Mata Nui, realizing what he'd done, used his power to try and retreive the mask. The Protodermis reacted quickly though, and absorbed a huge amount of energy from the mask and Mata Nui. The Energized Protodermis, now with more power than Mata Nui himsel, Began mutating Hirutu. Once the mutation was in the most crucial part, which is when the mutation is most vulnerable, the Energized Protodermis couldn't contain the extra energy by itself, so it fused itself with Hirutu. The Toa of Protodermis was born. Although, he is considered a Great Being, since he is as, if not more, powerful than Mata Nui.
