Biography[]
Helryx was created by the Great Beings on Spherus Magna. She came into being immediately as a Toa and was never a Matoran. After her creation, Helryx helped in the construction of Metru Nui and was present when the Toa Mata were created. She was also a former member of the Hand of Artakha, though after the organization was disbanded, she later founded the Order of Mata Nui, managing to recruit many former members of the Hand to join her, as well as initiating new members.
Helryx founded the Order of Mata Nui in secret so that it could exact Mata Nui's will without concerning itself with taking priority. Because most Toa were bound by the Toa Code and had their own destinies, Helryx forbade other Toa, Turaga, and Matoran from joining the Order. Based on her studies of the Ce-Matoran, Helryx learned how to train herself and her operatives to shield their minds from different forms of telepathy.
When the Toa Mata were transported to Daxia and awoken there for the first time, Helryx introduced them to each other, taught them about the duties and purposes of Toa, and assigned Hydraxon to train them. While she tinkered with a vehicle in her chamber, Tahu and Kopaka confronted Helryx and demanded information from her. She then revealed the purpose of the Codrex and the dangers that the Toa would eventually face in Karda Nui. From there, Helryx would watch over the Toa's progression as a team when they eliminated the Avohkah, and took part alongside her Order in moving the inhabiting Av-Matoran to different parts of the Matoran Universe when the Time Slip occured, which took about six months to complete.
Ten decades later, The Order of Mata Nui would be attacked by Trazark and his Cult of Dark Order, During the conflict, Helryx faced off against the Cult's leader, Trazark, but was defeated despite her best efforts to try and kill him. Trazark then attempted to finish Helryx off, however, the sudden appearance of Botar was able to distract the Cult leader long enough to allow the first Toa to escape. As a result, Helryx would be among the few Order of Mata Nui members to survive. As a result of the Order's decimation, Helryx declared the disbanding of the Order of Mata Nui, and eventually went into hiding.
Helryx would reappear almost a century later, tattered and barely alive. She would be found by members of Kuurk's Empire, and soon after, she was brought over to the organization where she was repaired and nursed back to health. When she was offered an invitation to join the Empire, Helryx was initially hesitant at first, but eventually gave in and accepted after being shown that Kuurk's Empire was an organization worth fighting for. Kuurk would also craft Helryx a new shield, as her old one was destroyed by Trazark.
Helryx would later emigrate over to the Earth-like planet of Helvean when the Empire moved its base of operations there.
Abilities and Traits[]
Despite being a Toa of Water, Helryx tends to be extremely fierce, somewhat impatient, and quick to anger. She always strives to achieve her vision of the greater good, no matter the decisions and choices she has to make to get it.
As a Toa of Water, Helryx can control, create, or absorb water. She is extremely adept at using her abilities, as demonstrated when she summoned a large tidal wave and kept it suspended directly in front of a fleet of Dark Hunter ships. Her mind is also shielded from outside mental presences, as is mandatory with Order training.
Helryx was created long before the invention of the Toa Code, which stipulates that Toa could not kill their opponents, and therefore did not abide by it. Even after the Code was established, she excluded herself from it due to the nature of her role in the Order.
