Hara Vel was a Great Being in the Seeds of Madness Alternate Universe. She took over the Great Spirit Robot after Mata Nui's death.
History[]
Early Life[]
Hara Vel began her life on Spherus Magna, where she gained her imagination and drive to create after encountering Annona. She aided the other Great Beings in populating Spherus Magna, and she was one of the driving forces behind the creation of the Elemental Lords. When the Core War began on Spherus Magna, Vel became more distant and withdrawn from the rest of the Great Beings, and did not participate in the construction of the Matoran Universe, but did begin studying it from afar after its departure from Spherus Magna.
The Restoration[]
During The Shattering, when Jovan and his team failed to heal Mata Nui, Hara Vel decided to aid the inhabitants of the Matoran Universe. After creating three Toa, Cadun, Nahrma, and Noctus, Vel replaced Mata Nui as the guardian of the Matoran Universe. Vel watched over the Matoran Universe for over 1,000 years, when, suddenly, Noctus betrayed her, and after killing his fellow Toa, he destroyed the Mata Nui Robot's head, killing Vel instantly.
Personality[]
Hara Vel had a fierce desire to create life, and hated to see living organisms in pain. She was often considered detached and antisocial, even by other Great Beings, rarely interacting with her fellows, preferring to study her creations. She was very protective of life, especially plants, which she viewed as an unappreciated miracles.
Abilities and Traits[]
Hara Vel, like all Great Beings, was capable of creating life, and possessed a range of subtle powers, such as transformation of living creatures, and inducing growth spurts or rapid aging. Vel was very cautious with her powers, always attempting to create creatures that would fit into their ecosystems.
Hara Vel carried a bladed staff and wore red and black bladed armor with gold inlays.
