Abilities and Traits[]

As a Toa of Psionics, Halima can create and control psionic energy, and access a variety of abilities such as illusion, telekinesis, and telepathy; however, these abilities are significantly underdeveloped due to her status as a newly-transformed Toa. She is also trained in the Empty Palms Style martial art and the seven forms of staff fighting.

Mask and Tools[]

Halima wears a navy-blue Great Kakama, which provides a considerable boost to her natural speed, as well as heightened reflexes. The left cheek fin is noticeably chipped. She wields a simple quarterstaff.

Quotes[]

"Hail, O Scribe, who reads the stars and records their portents. The path I must walk down has been written in your book since the time of my creation. Give me ease in this moment, that I may continue to walk without wavering. And may the way I walk please you as it pleases me."
―Halima, Journey to the Center of the Mind
"Overall, she looked better dressed for a night out in a rowdy city, but there was little she could do now besides smooth out some wrinkles and tug her jacket the slightest bit lower. If not with her dress, she could perhaps endear herself to Mother Nephthys with her winning personality."
―Narrator, Journey to the Center of the Mind

Trivia[]

  • Like all Psionics-based characters under Lan's pen, Halima contains references to ancient Arabic and Egyptian culture and history:
    • She is named after Halima, a Ghassanid princess who fought alongside her tribe's warriors in the Yawm Halima ("Day of Halima"), a 6th century battle that is also named after her.
