The Great Tournament was an annual tournament hosted in Arena Magna on Bara Magna, from the events of The Shattering until it's destruction. During the event, Glatorian would gather to battle each other to claim the title of Champion,and glory for their tribe.
History[]
Shortly after The Shattering, The Great Tournament was developed as part of a new social system, giving Glatorian a chance to prove their worth. Tribes prepared for the tournament by holding battles, inviting competing Glatorian from other villages to fight in their arena, raising the anticipation level for the tournament.
During the final Great Tournament, the Arena Magna was attacked by the Skrall Tribe, destroying the Arena Magna and ending the Great Tournament.
Alternate Universes[]
To commerate those who had been killed by the Skrall, or who had helped to forge the new Spherus Magna, First Chieftan of the United Tribe, Ackar, created a new version of the Great Tournament. Instead of just fights between Glatorian, it began to host a variety of sports, and came to be an enjoyed and prestigious event for atheltes to participate in.
