- ""Our people discovered it thousands of years ago, or should I say, they discovered him. Zilarra, the angry silver god.""
- ―The Element Lord of Air to Sahmad, Unknown Context.
The Great Flood, or Zilarra, the Silver God, is a mysterious entity older than the universe with an unknown intent.
History[]
Beginning[]
At the beginning of the new universe, the Great Flood emerged as all known matter with an intent to destroy the remnant of the previous universe. The Spectral Mask, an inter-dimensional almost omnipotent traveler from the previous universe, battled to stay alive and managed to diversify all the matter and trap the remnant of it on Spherus Magna in every dimension. The Great Flood then called out to Annona, a member of an interstellar migratory species that fed on dreams, promising her great wealth. She guarded its resting place until she could find beings strong enough to return the flood to its former glory.
The Ancients[]
Little is known about Zilarra's dealings with the Ancients and the only source about it is Tellnor Mythology. There are two different legends regarding this.
Zilarra unt Antziokek(Zilarra and the Ancients)[]
Zilarra, the angry silver god from deep below, long banished from his place among the gods by the warriors of light, sought escape from his prison. He reached out to the oracles of Ancients, already corrupt with riches, and commanded them to build an idol that could revive him so he could once again rule the universe. The Idol was half completed when the great creator gazed horrifiedly at what his creations were doing. He told the Tellnor to hide in the mountains and brought down a reign of Erori(fallout) upon the city of the Ancients so that the oracles could never be used again.
Zil uner Antizio(Greed of the Ancients)[]
The Ancients, once a prosperous people, had fallen under the sway of greed and vanity. They wished to conquer the universe so they set out to building a fleet of destroyers to rival that of the Great Creator. They mined deep into the earth for the stone to build them and woke Zilarra, who was in one of his thousand years sleep. The Silver God unleashed his wrath and rained down acidic silver rain which poisoned the air and soil. The fleet of destroyers then fell beneath the ground where they lay, never to be touched again.
Arrival of Humans[]
When humans arrived, the Flood ordered Annona to subdue them and get them to rebuild another machine to save him from his prison but they used Annona as an inspiration for new inventions. Annona went into hiding after this and abandoned helping the Great Flood.
