Gemini is a Su-Matoran from Mahri Nui. He is a member of the Mahri Nui Sentinels, and one of their most skilled fighters.
History[]
Like all the Matoran of Mahri Nui, Gemini once lived elsewhere. At some point, he was severely injured and sent to Karzahni for repairs. There he was rebuilt into a smaller and weaker form, and then shipped off to the most uninhabited parts of the Southern Continent. Gemini settled in the region that would become Voya Nui, and survived the violent relocation of the region during the Great Cataclysm.
Gemini would eventually settle in the growing city of Mahri Nui on the Voya Nui Bay. He lived there for several years until the city broke off from the island and sank down to the bottom of the Bay. Gemini survived this calamity as well, and soon put his weapons expertise to work protecting the Matoran of the city as one of the Mahri Nui Sentinels.
Ten years later, Gemini was the ne to interrupt a council meeting to inform Dekar of the Vampire Squid's attack on Kyrehx. Dekar had Gemini stay at the Council Chamber to keep everyone inside until he figures out the extent of the situation. Defilak convinced Gemini to let him follow Dekar by promising to expedite the repair of the Thornax Launcher he salvaged for the Su-Matoran. Gemini refused to let Gar follow Defilak.
Gemini was one of the first Sentinels to arrive at Kyros's hut while it was burning alongside Aescela and Mati. He found Idris just after she stumbled out, still choking on the smoke. He helped Aescela put out the fire, and then went to recover Kyros' body. Unfortunately for Gemini, Kyros was not in fact dead and now possessed powerful energy abilities, which he unintentionally blasted Gemini with. Kyros threatened Gemini and demanded he tell him where Lemiddus went, but Gemini was unable to tell him. Kyros left Gemini behind in his hut, seriously injured from the energy blast.
The launcher that Gemini was having Defilak rebuild for him later helped Dekar and Defilak fight off Kyros
Personality and Traits[]
Gemini is friendly and generally easygoing, though he has a bit of a sarcastic streak and struggles to resist a snippy one-liner. He talks a good bit when he's nervous, but behaves well under pressure. He has a soft spot for the Hydruka, and will volunteer his free time to help the Hydruka keepers with their duties.
Gemini has a fascination with weapons, and likes to collect them. He finds enjoyment in mastering as many as he can, and carries more than most Matoran on his person at any time in order to be prepared for anything.
Powers and Equipment[]
As a Su-Matoran, Gemini is resistant to high temperatures, even stronger than that of a Ta-Matoran's. He also is less affected by bright light than most Matoran. Outside of these natural abilities, he's spent years mastering the use of many different kinds of weapons, especially bladed weapons and launchers. He is one of the Mahri Nui Sentinel's most capable fighters.
After Mahri Nui sunk into the Voya Nui Bay, the small amount of mutagen he was exposed to gave him a stronger, sleeker form more suited to his new environment. He wears a battered orange Kanohi Mahiki, and wields a variety of daggers, short blades and an electro-blade.
