Gartheon was a 'New Makuta' created by Pyrez.
History[]
Gartheon was created by Makuta Pyrez shortly after Teridax took over the Matoran Universe, and was immediately put to work trying to counter resistance from the remainder of the Order of Mata Nui, and insurgents set by the Water Council. Gartheon excelled, and quickly became one of Teridax's favourite servants.
Later, Gartheon appeared on the Tren Krom Peninsula with the Kanohi Ignika. Using its powers, he experimented on the local Matoran, until only six remained. Toa Ihu eventually arrived on the Tren Krom Peninsula and began aiding the Matoran, until he finally confronted Gartheon in a quarry. The two of them battled using the full amount of their power, until Gartheon lashed out with the false Ignika. In his desparation, Ihu used an Ice Nova Blast and destroyed Gartheon and his Ignika utterly, scattering his armour across the peninsula. With the false Ignika destroyed, many of Gartheon's experiments on Matoran were undone.
Abilities and Traits[]
Gartheon has all normal Makuta powers but is a physical being, not composed of energy like regular Makuta. This is because he was a recent creation, and did not have 100,000 years to evolve as other Makuta did.
As a 'New Makuta', Gartheon felt that he had a lot to prove to his two masters - Pyrez and Teridax - and so worked hard to impress them. He became quite brutal, but this only made his masters adore him even more.
Mask and Tools[]
Gartheon wears a Kanohi Hau, the Great Mask of Sheilding, and carries Twin Shadow Blades. He also has a Rhotuka launcher, which has the same effect as Antidermis, sapping the will from a target.
Trivia[]
- His original weapon was a Nynrah Ghost Blaster, but he lost it in a battle with a giant squid.
