Gadunka were an abrasive species of marine Rahi.
Biography[]
The Ruki species were originally created in collaboration between Makuta Icarax using viruses and Liquid Protodermis to be one of the species to inhabit the Matoran Universe.
Although highly adaptable to aquatic life, the Gadunka proved too abrasive and predatory to contribute in everyday Matoran life. As such, the species adapted to deep, freshwater regions on the ocean floor.
Due to their tolerance for multiple environmental conditions and characteristics of their life history, Ruki were widely distributed across the Matoran Universe in aquatic ecosystems. Over the course of several years, the species integrated itself into Matoran life, though Ruki were known to tear through fishing nets and disrupt Matoran labor on occasion. Sharing an ecosystem with various other aquatic species, the Tarakava developed into a natural predator of the Ruki.

Gadunka have a reputation as ferocious predators that hunt their prey in schools. Recent research, however, which started off with the premise that they school as a means of cooperative hunting, discovered they are timid species that schooled for protection from their own predators.
