History[]
Similarly to most other Toa of Water, Gaaki began her life as a Ga-Matoran on Spherus Magna, where she aided in the construction of the Matoran Universe. Upon its completion, Gaaki was placed inside the Matoran Universe, which then departed Spherus Magna.
While the island of her original residence remains unclear, it is known that she was chosen to became part of a Toa team at some point after the Great Disruption.
Gaaki was active as a Toa for quite some time, operating as a member of another Toa team. When the Brotherhood of Makuta decided that Makuta Teridax needed Toa bodyguards, Gaaki was selected as representative Toa of Water. She was endowed with copper armor to indicate her status as an elite Toa and her former teammates presented her with her current Mask of Clairvoyance as a badge of honor.
Gaaki's new Toa team performed their task well and protected Teridax from things such as Rahi intrusions. Later, the Toa Hagah discovered that the Brotherhood had turned away from the light, had stolen the Kanohi Avohkii from Artakha, and were enslaving and oppressing the Matoran, rather than protecting them. They then raided the Destral Fortress in order to steal the Avohkii and the Makoki Stones. The team later took part in the Makuta Purge, killing many Makuta in the onslaught.
The whereabouts of the Toa Hagah went relatively unknown for almost over a century until it was discovered by members of Kuurk's Empire that the team was alive and well protecting Metru Nui.
Abilities and Traits[]
As a Toa of Water, Gaaki can create, control, and absorb water. This also gives her the ability to control water, create storms, and cause floods.
Gaaki was known to be feisty, independent, and at home in the water, and always wanted to prove herself as good a Toa Hagah as the rest. She was a translator, and her area of expertise was the capture of water Rahi. She always wanted to show the others that she was a great expert in the capture of Rahi whenever an appropriate opportunity arose.
