Furnace is a place of eternal fire.
History[]
In the time before time, the One Being created everything. They created the multiverse and wove the fabric of reality. They created Himlen – a place of eternal peace. It is where the Cosmic Protector and Keepers of Reality reside. Then, there was Furnace – the place of eternal fire.
When Chevas planned to overthrow the One Being they told Chevas to be careful about his actions. Chevas then decided that Himlen was not an appropriate place for him and decided to leave for Furnace. He later proclaimed that he would rise again and be just as powerful as a Cosmic Protector.
When Chevas exiled himself into Furnace, the One Being put some rules in place. Chevas could collect as many beings who had evil in their hearts as he wanted, but could not do it directly nor right away. Chevas found soldiers known as Reapers to do it for him. These Reapers had the powers of the shadows themselves and could become invisible and intangible, thus making them the perfect soldiers.
Many demons have escaped from Furnace. A demon must use either their own dark magic or sneak through other portals before they fully close. When a demon escapes, a Reaper is notified and ordered to hunt them down. Chevas typically wants said demon alive, but there are instances in which he does not care how many pieces the demon is brought in. Sometimes, Chevas orders a Reaper to kill the demon.
Landscape[]
Furnace is a land mostly of flame. The heat of Furnace is so high, even the most powerful Toa of Fire would feel uncomfortable. There are ruined monuments all over Furnace. Some Reapers say it is supposed to represent Furnace as a whole. Others just say the ruins are there "just to complete the look".
In the very center of Furnace, lies Chevas's castle. His castle contains rather advanced technology. It is through here that he can see what is going on in Furnace and the mortal realm. Chevas can also watch the events going on in Himlen. The journey to Chevas's castle is perilous. There are traps placed everywhere. Only a Reaper and Chevas himself know the safest approach, though they can use teleportation to get there.
