The Kanohi Faxon was the Mask of Kindred, a Kanohi that allowed the user to replicate the abilities and traits of Rahi. The mask, however, did not permit the user to communicate with other Rahi, alter their physical form, or mimic Rahi that they had not first observed.

Great versions of the Faxon notably enabled to bearer to take on specific traits of Rahi sharing their general environment and could store previously-utilized techniques for later use, whereas Noble versions of the Kanohi only permitted the bearer to emulate Rahi within the general vicinity.

History[]

The Kanohi Faxon traces its origins back back to some of the earliest mask-making techniques adopted on Spherus Magna, where an unclear number of Faxon masks were created for the Matoran populace. At this point in the history of the Matoran Universe, the Faxon became heavily associated with Bo-Matoran and Onu-Matoran, who held great respect for the Rahi kingdom.

Over time, the Faxon came to be known as the most practical choice in Kanohi for many Toa of Earth, who proved tremendously knowledgeable about the physical attributes of specific Rahi. Restricted only by the bearer's proximity to the breed of Rahi they are emulating the powers of, it became a popular idiom that "A Toa of Earth in the Archives is the one true unstoppable force in this universe."

In Metru Nui, a Faxon could crafted with relative ease using Reconstitute at Random and Enlarge Kanoka disks. Given the ease with which Faxon could be created, however, the Kanohi became somewhat common in wider Matoran society, though it often fetched for higher prices.

Most notably, Toa Lesovikk became the first Toa to bear a Faxon in the early history of the Matoran Universe.

Toa Hahli was also known to have worn a Faxon as a Toa Mahri during her quest to restore Mata Nui by claiming the Ignika from the Pit.
