Emanuel was the leader of the Toa Malia, and now resides on Kehidupan as the leader of the Council.

Biography

Early Life

1000 years before the Great Cataclysm War, Emanuel was created by Mata Nui as a Vo-Matoran. He did maintenance on the Great Spirit Robot. As a Vo-Matoran, he used his limited elemental powers to maintain electronic components in the Great Spirit Robot.

War against Abaddon

When Abaddon declared war against Mata Nui, Emanuel, along with three other Matoran, became Toa through the will of the Great Spirit. Emanuel formed the Toa Malia and worked with Matoran and the Brotherhood of Makuta to defeat Abaddon's armies.

Emanuel fought against a Skakdi army, using his Lightning powers to render most of the Skakdi unconscious. He set up traps and pitfalls, taking advantage of the Skakdis' lack of intelligence.

Having completed his destiny, Emanuel used up his Toa Energy to restore the damage done the Great Spirit Robot, becoming a Turaga. He resided on Kehidupan with the Matoran afterwards, revered as a wise protector of the city.

Enslavement by the Brotherhood

When the Brotherhood of Makuta took over the Great Spirit Robot, Emanuel kept Matoran safe in the tunnels of Kehidupan, and did his best to comply with the Brotherhood's demands.

He tricked several Makuta with his Mask of Empathy, keeping them from finding the Matoran Mata Nui designated to become Toa.

After the War

Emanuel formed the Council of Kehidupan with other Turaga and survivors of the original Order of Mata Nui. He was elected the leader because of his intelligence and persistence to reach diplomatic solutions.

When Helryx brought back the severed hand and staff of Vicoran, he called to action a plan to protect the Matoran and the Core Processor. Kisa disagreed with his defensive plan, and suggested assembling an assault team to track down the Infernal Legion. Emanuel let the motion pass at the decision of the Council.

Rise of the Infernal Legion

Emanuel debated with the Council of Kehidupan about the threat from the Infernal Legion. He was the voice of reason between Helryx and the others when the Order of Mata Nui became blamed for having a spy.

Personality and traits

Emanuel believes in the three virtues, Unity, Duty and Destiny. He believes that all beings followed the virtues and acted only in the way they were meant to. Because of this, he does not fear death, believing that he is simply following a set pathway to it, making it inevitable. He was known to be the most intelligent of the Toa Malia leaders.

He is reluctant to use violence or combat to resolve conflicts. Emanuel is very tactical when he does engage in combat, disabling foes with clever use of traps, Lightning and his Mask of Empathy.

Powers and tools

As a Toa, Emanuel was adept at controlling and creating elemental Lightning. He combined use of the element with his sword, making it impossible to touch. Emanuel took a very passive outlook to battling, using his intelligence to outsmart his enemies without laying a finger on them.

He carried a Life Blade, able to slowly fatigue any who comes into close proximity of the blade. Emanuel was not immune to the effect of the blade, and didn't like using it's power.

Emanuel uses his Mask of Empathy, Saratan, to reduce the aggression in his opponents. As a Toa, he was strong enough to bend the will of Makuta. As a Turaga, however, Emanuel instead could only suggest thoughts to the Makuta.
