The Elemental Energy (or E2 for short) Shotgun is a close-range firearm developed by an unknown gunsmith.
History[]
Little to nothing is known of its origins, other than that it's a popular gun among the Skakdi. TheDark Hunters have been known for using the weapon as well. The gun seems to exist in multiple universes, such as the atomic wasteland of Izewofk. Whether if it is by coincidence or if a dimension hopper left some there remains to be seen.
Functionality[]
The E2 Shotgun is semi-automatic, allowing multiple shots to be fired in a short time. However, the gun will overheat if used too often, and will need a few seconds to cool down before it can fire again. Another drawback is that it requires Elemental Energy to fire, so certain species (such as Matoran or Vortixx) won’t be able to use it.
The “skull” is the storage unit, where the EE can be channeled into the weapon. However, the front tends to stick out, making it difficult to swap it into another hand. This can be solved by removing the storage unit and flipping it around, making it useful for left-or-right handed people. Also, the unit can also act as a handguard of sorts, shielding the trigger hand from enemy fire.
As a shotgun, it is best used at close-range. As an energy weapon, it can burn organic tissue and destroy stone, though it isn’t as effective towards metals used in armor. It can fire small bursts, or one powerful blast. It cannot, however, fire an Elemental blast, as it was only designed to fire pure Elemental Energy.
