Echra is a small City-State located on the Southwestern Coast of the Northern Continent.
History[]
Early History[]
Not much is known about Echra in its time of Origin but what can be detailed was that it was founded by a semi-legendary figure named Xymrokk, abut unknown sapient being, who arrived at the Northern Continent (particularly the Southwestern perimeter of the Island). Taking its name from that of a female entity he fell in love with during his travels who was Martyred by a Tyrannical Warlord from a distant Continent.
Shortly after the founding of the City, Xymrokk himself fell ill and passed away, thus leaving control to a group of select Matoran to manage its structure. This same pair of Matoran would eventually develop the first form of government for Echra.
The Great Disturbance[]
Decades turned into centuries as the history of Echra was set into stone. Most of its events during the city's premature years usually involved internecine warfare among Matoran (and this was still prior to the Great Disturbance). Though all of it would eventually end after the cause of it was revealed around 50,000 BGC, when a certain group of vigilantes called the Lubentias Revolvers discovered the severe corruption of a few of the original Matoran rulers. The others having been martyred during their reign of insanity.
Eventually, several primary districts of Echra banded together in order to dethrone the remaining tyrants. One of them however abdicated in peace and was thus granted amnesty by a provisional government set up in place of the former oligarchy. At the head of this new authority was mainly the Lubentias Revolvers, only elected to power due to popular acclaim and officially announcing the end of their vagabond days. What can be detailed was during their rule from 43,162 - 15,500 BGC was the full reconstruction of the then-war-torn city-state as well as the annexation of several other areas towards the east of the continent. This helped expand the control of the ruling council to other areas and also ended its long-term era of isolation.
