Earth is one of the six basic Elemental Powers.

Species wielders[]

Matoran

  • Onu-Matoran represent the Element of Earth. Onu-Matoran also contain a very minuscule amount of Elemental Earth energy, which takes the form of slight night vision.
  • Toa of Earth possess the Elemental Power of Earth, allowing them to create, control and absorb earth.
  • Turaga of Earth possess small traces of Elemental Earth Energy.

Bohrok

  • Nuhvok had a limited range of Earth powers.
  • Some Fohrok had a very limited range of Earth powers.
  • The Bahrag had a wide range of Earth Powers.

Skakdi

  • Skakdi of Earth would only be able to access their power if they worked with another Skakdi, or if they carried a weapon that allowed them to channel their Element.

  • Manipulating earth and soil.
    • Causing earthquakes.
  • Absorbing earth.
  • Setting a delayed reaction of earth. (Toa Nuva-exclusive)
  • Unleashing an Earth Nova Blast.
  • Projecting one's consciousness into earth. (Element Lord-exclusive)
  • Incredible strength and night vision also come with this power.

Combinations[]

  • Earth can be used to supplement and enhance the abilities of user of Plantlife.
  • When combined with the Elemental Power of Fire, Earth can create lava.
  • As long as each wields a different element, providing that Light and Shadow are not included at the same time, any six Toa can create a Protodermis cage. Beings other than Toa and the Krahka cannot combine powers of any sort to create a Protodermis cage.

  • There has often been misunderstandings about the differences between the elements of Earth and Stone, one being confused for the other at times.
    • Stone is manipulating rocks and is more solid.
    • Earth is having control over soil, dirt, and mud; essentially overall land.
  • In Matoran culture, the element of Earth's virtue was Prosperity.
    • Its direct opposite was Hunger.
