The Kanohi Devai is the Mask of Incarnation. Its usage is widespread, and it is classified as an Energy power.
The Kanohi Devai allows the user to create an elemental avatar that will perform a single task, before returning to its raw materials. The user’s element will inform the avatar’s shape and constitution.
This mask is redundant for a Toa, and generally worn by other species who possess an elemental connection but little power to manipulate it.
History[]
As society within the Matoran Universe blossomed and expanded following the Great Spirit Robot's launch, mask makers across the universe honed and refined their skills and began to craft new designs. These masks were not neccessarily as directly relevant to the maintenance of the Great Spirit, but served some now-lost purpose within the newly born civilization.
The Kanohi Devai was a very late creation, supposedly developed by a species that had long grown tired with watching Toa use their elemental powers while having none themselves.
