Deltrax radiation is a byproduct of the creation of Jadax Magna and Tehktra Nui. It is constantly being emitted from deep with the planet/ship.

It is not harmful to the Matoran species in small doses, and has no effect other than the fact that it can causes different genders for all the elements.
Matoran of Tehktra Nui harnessed its power to generate electricity in the Energy Fields, though it can be harmful. Around the Fire Kingdom area of Tehktra Nui, radiation was strongest (since most of the power to start the ship was need here), and the seas around it were thoroughly irradiated. The sea became Mutagenic, causing Rahi who strayed into the waters to deform and mutate.

- The Matoran residents of Tehktra Nui do not actually know about the radiation's existence. This may seem contradictory as they use it to generate electricity, but they do not actually understand that they are using it. They only recognize it as an unseen force.
