Dedansyde, formerly Subject D-3, is an undead mutant and an experiment of Meltdown.
Biography[]
Long ago, there was a mighty warrior. He fought many foes and killed them all. He was feared by all, called a ruthless killing machine. Eventually, his life gave out and he passes away.
Many years later, a group of mutants came across a graveyard. The leader, Meltdown, did not want just any body. He wanted the body of a cold-blooded killer. Bonehead could see his reasoning as different people's brains are wired differently, and a body with a warrior's brain would be useful. Eventually, an avian mutant known as "Laserbeak" found a warrior's grave. He and some other mutants dug up the body and they went back to Negatum.
Later, Meltdown had Bonehead set everything up. He laid the body on an operating table and hooked up cables to a machine. This machine would send electricity through the body, bringing it back to life. Motoro and Neverest helped with the machine. When everything was ready, Meltdown told Motoro to pull the switch, and he did. Several thousand volts went through the warrior's body. Some mutants also fired mutagenic energies at the corpse, mutating it. Its hands grew, one changed, his arms elongated. Later, the body started shifting. It then opened its eyes. Meltdown and the others were joyed, as they had brought someone back from the dead. The newly reanimated mutant started growling and attacked the closest mutant: Motoro. The mutant was snarling savagely and biting the air around Motoro. Laserbeak wrapped his whip around the mutant's leg and pulled, sending the mutant flat on his chest. Neverest then said that she knew that this was a bad idea from the beginning. Meltdown just said that all the new mutant needed was "training."
Much, much later, the mutant was behaving like some of his other mutants. His rage and hunger were controlled. He became less clumsy and was able to fight again. Meltdown named the mutant "Dedansyde" and made Laserbeak his partner.
Abilities, Traits, and Tools[]
In life, Dedansyde was a fierce warrior. He was essentially a killing machine. As an undead mutant, he was at first always attacking those around him. He wanted food: their flesh. The only truly functioning part of his brain was motor skills. After the training, Dedansyde could fight almost as good as he could in life. The only thing he cannot do now is speak. He communicates through sounds such as growls and grunts. Laserbeak is able to roughly translate it into sentences.
Dedansyde has one large four-fingered hand, and one large six-fingered hand. He uses these to slash at his opponents. Bonehead fitted Dedansyde with a mutation blaster on his right shoulder. It took quite some time for Dedansyde to get used to it. Eventually, he could use it like second nature.
Trivia[]
