Date Night is a short comic story by BionicleChicken written for the Tenth Anniversary Contest, which it won unanimously. It stars Toa Tayluu and Thode.

• The final panel of page 13 is a reference to The Dark Knight Returns.
• An appearance by the Void Warriors attempting to fight Shadowmaster was considered.
• There was an idea for an epilogue where Thode and Tayluu interact during their days as team members, which was meant to be a rare moment where they got along as opposed to the animosity implied by Thode. Alternatively, the epilogue would've been replaced by a simple photograph of their team, joined by Gorta and Kualus.
• Pewku's appearance among the Beacons is based on an inside joke where the Ussal crab is in reality the true main antagonist of BIONICLE.
• The ATP-000s that appear in the warehouse are Niha's prototypical brothers and sisters. The information Thode is implied to have taken from their mainframe was sold to an agent of the Order of Mata Nui, which led to Niha's creation. These prototypes were destroyed by the fire Thode started. These events are currently noncanon to LoganWoerner's storyline.
• It's intentionally left ambiguous as to whether or not the Beasts are just an insane, telepathic cult or actual secret servants of Shadowmaster.
• The sniper rifle Thode uses is not his signature Plasma Sniper.
• The Tayluu that appears in this story may or may not actually be from an alternate universe.
• The Beasts that appear within Thode's mind have helmets/masks visually based on Hero Factory XPlode's helmet, due to BionicleChicken's notice of them having a similar design to the Mistika version of the Kanohi Hau.
