Darkness and his species were created during the early years of the Matoran Universe by Mata Nui.
Most of Darkness' background is completely unknown, but at some point, he was initiated as a member of the Dark Hunters.
Darkness constantly looms over Ombrista, waiting for him to make a mistake so that he can kill him and take his position for himself. When the Shadowed One travels to other islands, Darkness follows him as a means to keep a watchful eye on him. However, even when he does not travel with his leadere, he still somehow manages to watch over him. He rarely leaves Ombrista's side, and only then to discipline disobedient Dark Hunters.
5,000 years ago, when five Skakdi Dark Hunters (later to become the Piraka) attempted to rebel against the Shadowed One, Darkness briefly left the Shadowed One's side to speak with them. He warned them of their actions, and that the Shadowed One knew of their plans. Several of the Skakdi panicked and tried to run, but all were eventually brought before the Shadowed One, who disciplined them severely.
Abilities and Traits[]
Darkness has the ability to bend and slither through even the most minuscule of places. Ombrista believed this was not the full extent of his powers, however. He is considered to be one of the most powerful Dark Hunters in the organization and able to take down Ombrista if needed.
Most of the events that transpire around the Shadowed One mean nothing to Darkness. His sole interest is waiting for the Shadowed One to show a sign of weakness so that he can take the opportunity to kill him and replace him as leader of the Dark Hunters.
