The Crossgun is a weapon used in a great civil war.
History[]
Crossguns were invented 300 years before the events of Dark Phoenix: The Rising. They were made by a blacksmith called Mlarkey who stumbled upon a way to harvest energy from the air, and use it to shoot small projectile. Shortly after their invention, Crossguns were used in a brutal civil war that shook Lechkta Magna to its core.
Later crossguns would be retrofitted with scopes, and other such add-on's. 50 years later the technology was develloped to make crossgins a multiple shot weapon, but the design was scrapped due to its fragile build. Crossguns were again remade later to increase the range of the Bullet. Now Crossguns are used more widely spread than ever due to the right to carry arms Act set forth by The Monarchy.
Mechanics[]
Crossguns had two prongs on either side of the gun that used a specail type of chemically charged electricity to harvest energy from the air, convert it into a fuel like form. The fuel was used to go up to the spring mechanism, have the firing cord contract forcing the firing pin shoot forward at a speed of roughly 1,000 MPH and force the bullet out of the ammunition chamber.
Trivia[]
- The name Crossgun is a fusing of the words Crossbow, and gun.
