A sub-sect within the Apex Dozen relating to the more alien members of that organisation.

History[]

The Creature Coven are an unofficial sub-group created by Matoran classifiers in order to split the observed members of the Apex Dozen into more memorable and useful records. The decision to name this group as such as first decided upon observation of both Herl'Be'Zaatch and Zak'Kalamas, as both were determined to be highly irregular in their biology compared to the other Makuta. Eventually, a survivor not driven incomprehensibly insane by Vek'Bel'Zzak was discovered and he was added to the list.

Between the three, the Creature Coven have struck primal terror into Matoran and Toa across the Toa Confederacy for their mostly horrifying methods of elimination-Herl'Be'Zaatch takes his victims deep underground and suffocates them with sand before eating them, Zak'Kalamas absorbs the life force of his victims altogether, and there are only rumours of how Vek'Bel'Zzak deals with his victims.

Since the creation of the group, the members of the group have taken to referring to themselves as such in order to have a more profound psychological effect on their victims. It is unknown how they obtained their classification, as most information is kept unwritten to prevent intelligence stealing; it is theorised Vek'Bel'Zzak took the information from the mind of one of his victims, however.

To this day, the Creature Coven still operate covertly and remain one of the more fearful forces the Apex Dozen and Teridax (Spherus Imperus) have to muster.

Members[]

As of current, three beings have become members of the Creature Coven:

  • Vek'Bel'Zzak, the Nightmare
  • Zak'Kalamas, the Hive Tyrant
  • Herl'Be'Zaatch, the Hydralisk

It is unknown whether or not more alien Makuta may arise to become a part of this classification, or if Teridax has any intention of finding more of these odd lifeforms to serve him.
