Corsyx was a former Cor-Matoran, who became a Toa of Acid and member of the Toa Tika.
Biography[]
Matoran[]
As a Matoran, Corsyx was a student of Alchemy in a Cor-Matoran village on the Southern Continent. Corsyx found himself apprenticed to Temu, the village's Toa Guardian and a studious alchemist. Temu subjected Corsyx to several rigorous tests of will and strength along with his regular studies. Unbeknownst to Corsyx, Temu was testing his potential as a future Toa. However, Corsyx's village was beset by a swarm of Bohrok awakened after an expedition into a nearby cave system went awry. The swarm was beaten back thanks to the combined efforts of the Cor-Matoran, but Temu was slain in the battle. In his final moments, Temu passed his powers onto Corsyx, transforming him into a Toa of Acid.
Toa[]
Despite his new powers and form, Corsyx had no knowledge of how to actually control his elemental abilities. Following a map left behind by Temu, he ventured north to seek a new teacher. On his journey, Corsyx found himself partnering up with the Toa of Smoke, Lamuis, and the two quickly teamed up. The map eventually led the pair to the home of Turaga Midru, and four other Toa: Baloku, the Toa of Moonlight, Apaku, Toa of Indigo, Aval, Toa of Psionics, and Lhuri, Toa of Black Lightning. Midru trained the six new Toa to control their elemental abilities, and master the art of combat. Corsyx developed a proficiency in channeling Acid through his staff, and discovered his Kanohi mask's regenerative abilities. Baloku took the role of the group's leader, and named their team the Toa Tika.
Toa Tika[]
The Jotun Conflict[]
Upon completion of their training, the Toa Tika departed to Jotun, a Matoran Fortress on the border of Ko-Metru. The stronghold was a forge for Toa weapons and Kanohi masks, and had been besieged by a member of the Brotherhood of Makuta named Resiku. By the time the Toa had arrived, however, the whole stronghold was gone, with a crater where its foundation once was. Baloku used his Kanohi Vedo to look into the past and discovered that, over the course of two days, Resiku had used some sort of power to cause the entire fortress to vanish into thin air.
The Toa decided to split up into pairs, and Corsyx and Lamuis searched a nearby canyon for clues to Jotun's whereabouts. During the search, Lamuis encountered and battled a lone, blind Rahkshi. Though he fought ferociously, it became apparent to Lamuis that he was not under the control of Makuta like most other Rahkshi, and the two Toa escorted him back to the group.
