Collector is a Dark Hunter who is obsessed with collecting Kanohi masks.
History[]
Collector was a member of Nocturn's species, recruited into the Dark Hunters sometime before his homeland's destruction. He had an obsession with collecting Kanohi masks and carried them on his person.[1]
At some point, he and his fellow Dark Hunter Triglax were sent to a remote island to find a unique device of Xian design. Upon arrival, they found several dead Toa before encountering a Matoran who told them that said Toa had been killed by a Toa of Fire named Sidrona. Unbeknownst to the Dark Hunters, said Matoran was in fact Makuta Tridax, who had killed the Toa with the Xian weapon and had hired the Dark Hunters to help cover his tracks.[1]
Collector and Triglax tracked down Toa Sidrona to a village that the Toa of Fire had burnt down due to an illusion Tridax had created. When Sidrona displayed his mask power to drop Triglax into a portal, Collector immediately had an interest in the Toa's Kanohi Olmak. Distracted as he was by his own obsession, he was easily lured into another portal created by the Olmak. This dropped Collector into a pocket dimension filled with nothing but Kanohi Pakaris, a mask that Collector already had plenty of.[1]
After spending countless years in this dimension, he was eventually able to escape through a portal created by a dimension-hopping Vezon and arrived in Xia, where he was reunited with Triglax and his fellow Dark Hunters.[2] He later migrated to Spherus Magna following the destruction of the Matoran Universe and presumably joined The Shadowed One's new army.
Abilities and Traits[]
A member of Nocturn's species, Collector has an absurd amount of strength. However, he is unable to wear or use the Kanohi that he obsessively collects.
Trivia[]
- Collector is loosely based on the Star Wars character General Grievous, who has four arms and a collection of lightsabers.
