The Chamillos are a species of gargantuan reptilian-like sapiens located on the island of Dorxuada in the southernmost tip of the Matoran Universe. They are a violent race who constantly clash with each other over the limited resources on their island. This violence passed over to their interactions with the rest of the species' of the Matoran Universe as well.
History[]
Early History[]
The Chamilos were created by Mata Nui around 95,000 years ago. They inhabited Mnogo, located at the foot of the Great Spirit Robot, along with some Matoran inhabitants. The Chamilos' purpose was to assist the Matoran in maintenance and repair of any faulty systems in Mata Nui's foot. Their natural resistance to heat and physical build allowed them to reach many places the more fragile Matoran could not. This monotonous task of repairing and maintenance countinued for many years without much variation.
The Awakening[]
Sometime into Mata Nui's mission, the Great Being Velika gave true sentience to the inhabitants of the Matoran Universe, including those of Mnogo. The Chamilos and Matoran forgot their purpose through the passage of time but still remained friendly.The Matoran still relied on the intellectually inferior Chamilos to protect them from the wildlife of Mnogo. While the inhabitants lived in independent towns and cities, everything began to gradually centralize until a capital was built and a council established of both Chamilos and Matoran.

New System and Battle for Resources[]
Shortly after The Acrimonium, any form of government quickly deteriorated. All surviving Chamilos quickly split off and formed their own clans and battle one another for resources.
During The Acrimonium, a giant fissure was formed near the center of the island where all the excess heat from the thrusters of the Great Spirit would be expelled. All attempts to repair the coolant system after the Acrimonium proved fruitless.
The Chamilos who stormed the capital, at least those who survived, founded the biggest of the clans on the island, the Plenka. The ruins of the capital served as their territory and they were in possession of many resources, mostly armaments. Crops and water were still in very short supply. The Plenka immediately started warring against the Maxcde who had the biggest fresh water supply out of all the clans.

- The author, Pitcat, got the idea for the species after listening to the track "Cabal Stomp" by Martin O'Donnell multiple times
- The species is inspired from the Jiralhanae from the Halo games and the Cabal from the game Destiny
