Chalkis Nui was an island in the south of the Matoran Universe in the Chalkaverse-1.
History[]
Creation[]
Chalkis Nui was constructed by a number of Matoran, with assistance from the First Toa of Gravity, though it was not in the original plans for the Great Spirit Robot. After the island's completion it was populated by a number of Matoran, Toa, and Turaga.
At some point shortly after its completion, Chahrak-Kal began construction of the cave system beneath the island, with assistance from Chalka. Chahrak-Kal later populated the largest chamber in the system with a number of modified Bohork, dubbed the Data Hive.

Chalkis Nui was known to be largely undeveloped, covered in jungles which primarily housed Rahi. Most inhabitants clustered in the major villages of each region, with only a handful building houses in the jungle purely for the sake of seclusion. A mountain dominated the middle of the island, with a cave system underneath and partially within the mountain. The island was known to be just a bit larger than Metru Nui.

Ta-Chalkis[]
Ta-Chalkis was the northern region of the island, and was well-known for its port city. Although they never gained many new residents, the port city gained frequent visits from merchants. Though the region was named for the element of Fire, many of its inhabitants were of other elements, and many merchants native to Chalkis Nui preferred this region. However, the majority of villagers were still of the Fire element.
