- "Chalka believes that his powers, particularly mental shielding, make him unreadable. In truth, he is a frighteningly easy read. There is a weight and sadness deep in his eyes. Chalka is a being who feels unfulfilled and has felt that way for untold time. The denial he is stuck in is severe, and I find it disturbing to think of being in such a state for eternity."
- ―Tulwe's analysis of Chalka
Chalka is a male of unknown species and origin, and creator of the Chalkaverse-1.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Though Chalka's early life is largely unknown, beings such as Raumo and Chahrak-Kal claim they heard him call himself a Greyscale. However, no others can confirm this.
It was known he lived for a lengthy period of time prior to his creation of the Chalkaverse-1. He has appeared in several universes, but it is currently unknown which, if any, were before the creation of the Chalkaverse-1.
Spherus Magna[]
Upon arriving on Spherus Magna, Chalka went into hiding until the Magnians who would later become the Great Beings were born. Chalka masqueraded as a Magnian named Einar around their ages, and eventually joined them not long before they officially became the Great Beings.
Chalka remained largely aloof from the construction of the Great Spirit Robot. However, it was known that he made a number of changes to the plans of it, often without the knowledge of his peers. His main contribution was the island of Chalkis Nui. When the Great Spirit Robot waa launched, Chalka left Spherus Magna with the majority of other Great Beings. He was said to have become largely separate at their new residence, mostly to avoid suspicion whenever he left. He frequently visited both the Matoran Universe and the fragments of Spherus Magna. He was absent during Volitak Squad's arrival on their planet.
Traits, Abilities, and Equipment[]
Traits[]
Chalka's exterior facade varies widely, ranging from entirely unserious and fun-loving to slightly more stoic and thoughtful. Underneath, Chalka is a deeply damaged individual, constantly moving from universe to universe in order to chase a high he will never reach. His primary goal appears to be to go on adventure after adventure, hoping that eventually he will finally become satisfied and content. Chalka is deep in denial, unwilling or unable to accept that the path he has chosen will only cause him to spiral further and further into a depression that has seen the birth and death of several universes.
Despite appearing in several different universes, Chalka appears to be a multiversal singularity.
Abilities[]
The full extent of Chalka's powers is unknown. Claims made by Raumo, Chahrak-Kal, and Stroud support that there is no limit to his powers.
Equipment[]
•Cape: Chalka is known to wear a cape, which is tattered at the end.
•Kanohi: It is currently unknown what Kanohi Chalka wears, or if his mask even is a Kanohi.
Trivia[]
- Chalka is Chalk33's self-moc.
- Chalka utilizes custom parts designed by other users:
- Chalka's torso was made by BobTheDoctor27
- Chalka's legs were made by Rando07
- Chalka's arms were made by Chalk33
- Chalka has had a number of themes throughout the years, reflecting the various characterizations and personalities Chalk has assigned to him.
- Chalka's original theme was Circus for a Psycho by Skillet. At the time Chalk was using this song as his own theme. Reviewing the lyrics, Chalk cannot find any other reason in particular for Chalka to have this song as his theme beyond the general psycho bit and Chalk just liking the song at the time. The theme was later removed without replacement.
- Chalka's eventual second theme was Unforgotten, composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori for the Halo 2 Original Soundtrack. Another favorite of Chalk's, this song was chosen for its more sorrowful feel, during a period where Chalk was slowly beginning to make Chalka reflect himself more accurately.
- Chalka's present theme, as seen in the infobox above, is Morph by twenty one pilots. This song was chosen to reflect how Chalka's personality has at least been more fleshed out and analyzed, attempting to embody the idea of "what if Chalk truly went too far." Most notable is the line "I'll morph to someone else, I'm just a ghost," a succinct summation of Chalka's dimension-hopping and empty thrill-chasing tendencies in his updated portrayal.
