Callan was a Toa of Fire and a member of the Farside Council on Balfe Nui in the Remains Alternate Universe.
History[]
Early life[]
Similarly to most other Toa of Fire, Callan began his life on Spherus Magna as a Ta-Matoran, where he aided in the construction of the Matoran Universe. Surprisingly for a Ta-Matoran, Callan adopted a warm, jovial attitude as opposed to the typical competitive ruthlessness expected of his kind.
Uprising[]
Callan first saw Theran and Range when they were brought before the Council. He didn't say anything when they were forced to leave Farside Village. When they came back with Chaeus' body, Callan was introduced to them.
Later, during the attack of the Forgotten Warriors, Callan was the one who ordered the retreat. He found his way to Xafri's camp. The next day, he told Solace and Gringat that he couldn't accept that their village had been taken by the Forgotten Warriors. He left with the other council members and Lordanian to take back Farside Village. During the battle, he was hurt by a powerful Forgotten Warrior who managed to strike him in melee combat.
When Nuva's Protosteel Construct approached the village, Callan was the first to spot it. He joined the others in fleeing the village after Xafri urged them to. Just as Callan and the others were out of reach, Xafri used the Kanohi Tilira to destroy the life force of the Protosteel Construct.
While most of the survivors went to join the Patriots, Callan stayed at the Farside Village with Lordanian during the followng weeks, protecting the mostly abandoned village.
Elegy[]
For unknown reasons Callan didn't survive the time at the now ruined Farside Village. Range and his team found the former councilor's body near to the overgrown village site, where they left him.
Legacy[]
To honor the fallen councilor, his mask's likeness was used in the creation of the reformed council's banner.
His body was eventually moved to the Farside Crypt, where it rested amongst other heroes.
Abilities and Traits[]
Similarly to all other Ta-Matoran, Callan would have possessed a minuscule degree of control over the Element of Fire, though he could not access Elemental Powers or utilize a Great Kanohi. Additionally, he was considerably more resilient to warmer temperatures and climates than most other types of Matoran and adopted a physical, blunt approach to problems.
Upon becoming a Toa he was able to create, absorb and manipulate Fire. Additionally, he was granted the ability to use his Kanohi Ruru.
Mask and Tools[]
Callan wore a Noble Kanohi Ruru, the Mask of Night Vision, allowing him to see clearly no matter the lighting conditions.
Additionally, he wielded a Flame Sword which he used to channel his elemental powers.
