The Botas Rahi were among the first creations of the Great Beings and the first rahi species in the entire Universe 38.
Physiology[]
The Botas are a quadrupedal species of Rahi, have smaller, armored heads and tails with specialized ends. Their front two feet were clawed and the back two more flattened. Their color determined on their element, but the very first weren't affiliated with any element, so they were a gray color.
There are many different types of Botas, and varied greatly in size and accessories. There were large, slow moving Botas as well as small, tree dwelling Botas. There were even some that were semi or fully aquatic, and even some that had slight gliding abilities.
Behavior[]
Most Botas are herbivorous, but some are carnivorous and the later, more advanced species are omnivorous. Almost all Botas were territorial and not actively aggressive, however there are some that were predatory. Botas usually traveled in groups and were highly successful in the early days of Terra Magna.
Within some of the more advanced species, a primitive hierarchy can be found, with some having matriarchs or pack leaders. The groups would follow the higher ranking or older members.
History[]
When the Great Beings first discovered their abilities in 0 LY, the Botas were the first Rahi to be developed. Many variants were made, and when the planet was fully terraformed, the many species spread extremely fast and colonized most of the planet by 5 LY. When the first Agori colonized Kimu Nui in 6 LY, some were tamed as pets, mounts and even guard-dog like duties.
