Black Lightning is a rare elemental power which allows the user to manipulate, absorb, or control any form of it. It can be wielded by a being who is Skakdi, Strax, or Makuta. It could be wielded by a Toa of shadow,Though this rarely happens.

Powers

Black Lightning is one of the most powerful secondary elements, next to that of Antimatter and The Prime. There are multiple forms of Black Lightning, some of them common among many users, other unique to the individuals that hold its power.

Common Black Lightning

Common Black Lightning is the most basic form of Black Lightning, simply bolts of Antimatter. Most beings are able to control this form of Black lightning except for those who control Dark Lightning, a mix of shadow and regular lightning. Any being who controls Antimatter is capable of manipulating Common Black Lightning, but they cannot generate it themselves.

Dark Lightning

This form of Black Lightning is a fusion between Shadow and Lightning, giving it much different properties from common Black Lightning.

This form of Black Lightning is not just shadow and lightning combined. This form of black lightning can only be learned by specific instruction, and not by experimenting with lightning. Due to this, very few people know how to execute its technique. Its effect on a target is quite different from its more well known counterpart. Where as the first form of black lightning can kill in a couple hits, this version has the capability of destroying the target in exactly one hit. This more deadly form of black lightning is very sensitive in it's energized state, and has a similar effect of what would happen if antimatter were to come into contact with matter. When this form of black lightning comes into contact with any form of matter, its cellular reaction is very unstable, and as a result, forms a very large explosion in contact with matter. It is the explosive nature of this element that kills the target in one hit. Even if the lightning does not make direct contact with the intended target, the explosion would be enough to severely wound, or kill the target. Beings who recieve direct contact by this form of black lightning, almost have no chance of surviving it.

There is a chance however that one may redirect this form of Black Lightning, (As demonstrated by Irostenese in THOF). But only those who actually know how to execute this form of lightning can redirect it. Otherwise the effect remains just as deadly.

• No Matoran or Toa are capable of naturally controlling Black Lightning.
