Bezeal was part of the Makuta species and a former member of the Brotherhood of Makuta. After the Reformation, he founded the League of Shadows, one of the many factions to surface during this period.

History[]

Beginning[]

Like other Makuta, Bezeal was created by Mata Nui in the southern reaches of the Matoran Universe, birthed from the substance known as antidermis. Shortly after the creation of the Makuta, one of the members of the species known as Miserix assumed leadership. Bezeal, along with the other Makuta, pledged service to him, working to populate the Matoran Universe with fauna and flora, which they constructed out of protodermis.

Bezeal continued in this task until the Matoran Civil War. After the near-death of the Great Spirit due to the conflict, Miserix ordered the construction of Alta Nui, which would serve as life support for Mata Nui in case an event like the Matoran Civil War ever happened again.

Alta Nui was divided into two parts, the "heart," which housed the reactor and battery that powered Alta Nui (and could power the MU in case of emergency) and the "brain," which houses the AI known as Ordnung, who could the basic tasks of the MU if necessary. As such, Miserix assigned two Makuta to the island; Bezeal to the "brain" and a Makuta known as Phaes to the "heart."

Bezeal watched over his district with very little activity happening on the island, spending most of his time reading, studying, and conversing with Ordnung. However, this routine changed when Teridax proposed to his fellow Makuta his plan of overthrowing Mata Nui, a plan which Bezeal quickly agreed to. Bezeal, along with Makuta Phaes, were given the task of destroying Alta Nui from the inside. The destruction of Alta would assure there were no second chances and ensure victory for the Brotherhood.

The Alta-Nui Scheme[]

The plan to destroy Alta Nui was a simple yet complex one. Bezeal would have to disable the AI Ordnung so that Phaes could overload the islands reactor, destroying everything.

Abilities and Traits[]

Like all Makuta, Bezeal was capable of creating Kraata, shapeshifting, using a shadow-hand, and telepathy.

Trivia[]

Bezeal is one of Pitcat's "legacy MOCs," a character that, in some form or another, has existed before or when Pitcat briefly joined the wiki back in 2011.
The original name for the character was "Kilrix." Pitcat changed the name because not only was Kilrix a dumb name but also because he held no ill will to the Ricks of the world and did not wish to threaten them with this name.
