The Battle at the Sacred Grove took place in the titular Sacred Grove at the the climax of Patriots.
The Battle[]
The leader of the Patriots had just freed Tilira's spirit as the ancient being took charge of his entire force and lead them to the Sacred Grove. With Vastara and Kyhae scouting ahead and finding a great number of Forgotten Warriors and their leader Nuva at the site, the battle begun against the greatly outnumbered Toa.
Not much later Tilira and the rest of the Patriots joined into the battle to help their allies. A third force also joined: The small number of defective members of the Patriots, lead by Pirud.
The battle ultimately ended when Nuva fired a stage-9 Kanoka Disk of power, striking Tilira and unleashing an explosion upon the battlefield that wiped out most of the combatants.
In the end many of the Patriot's warriors fell alongside Nuva's own forces, which he abandoned. The spirit of Tilira was also destroyed by the powerful disk.
Aftermath[]
The survivors lead by Theran set to leave the site of battle after it was over, but were apprehended by the Forgotten Warriors who no longer seemed to be under the unfluence of Nuva's control. With Theran now holding the control mask Nuva used they inquired him to release them - which he did by smashing the mask at the edge of the battlefield. From this moment on, the Forgotten Warriors were freed.
