The Kanohi Avohkii was a unique Kanohi mask, affording its bearer Elemental Light capabilities.
History[]
Creation[]
Originally designed by the Great Beings, the Kanohi Avohkii was crafted by Artahka and paired with the Kanohi Kraahkan, its diametrically opposite counterpart. Around this point, it became a Matoran legend that the Kanohi Avohkii would one day be worn by a prophesied Toa of Light.
Roughly 2500 years ago, following the evolution of the Makuta species into gaseous, shadow-based organisms, Makuta Kojol stole the Avohkii from Artahka and transported it back to the Makuta homeland of Destral, where it was paraded through the island's headquarters as a victory token. With the Brotherhood in possession of both the Masks of Light and Shadow, Makuta Teridax swiftly began to consolidate his Grand Plan to usurp Mata Nui at the head of the Matoran Universe.
However, once the nature of the Brotherhood's allegiance became clear, Teridax's former Toa Hagah team incited a rebellion on Destral, stealing the mask once more and relocating it to Metru Nui, being mutated into Rahaga in the process. Sealing the Avohkii in a temple within the city and scattering the Makoki Stones needed to unlock it, the Rahaga set about fending off the Visorak Horde, which had moved to secure the city after the Great Cataclysm. Following the Battle for Metru Nui and the restoration of the Toa Metru, the Avohkii was transported to the island of Mata Nui, where it was hidden within the Mangai Volcano.

The Great Kanohi Avohkii primarily allowed its user to have Toa-level range and strength of Elemental Light powers. Primarily, The Kanohi could spread understanding to others, generating peace and trust whilst pacifying hostile intentions. In addition, it possessed the ability to soothe a target and produce an aura of affection and warmth, similar to a Mask of Charisma. As an Elemental Kanohi, the Avohkii also allowed the bearer to emit any type of light within the electromagnetic spectrum.
While it was one of the few Kanohi to have Elemental Powers, it would not boost any pre-existing Elemental Light powers the user wielded.
Noble[]
There is no Noble Avohkii, but it has been theorized it would have a drastically reduced elemental capability, much like other Noble versions of Elemental Kanohi.
