Atterek Nui is a large island in the same ocean as Sparkann, Dekkarai, Miikau, and Vulcanaxia.
History[]
Matoran have lived on Atterek Nui for thousands of years in peace, save the occasional Rahi attack. During this time, the island's Onu-Matoran began a mine to search for resources to trade with other islands. From there, industry on the island boomed: the Po-Matoran began to help them mine, and the Fe-Matoran crafted objects out of the metal they found. The De-Matoran have since moved further from the mine to avoid the noise.

Atterek Nui is divided up into several areas based on geographical characteristics. While the Onu- and Po-Matoran live in the mining district, the Le-Matoran have based themselves in the jungle region, the Ga-Matoran along the shorelines, and Ko-Matoran in the mountains. The De-Matoran live near the center, in the quietest area on Atterek Nui. There are also Ba- and Vo-Matoran scattered across the island.
