Arkam is one of the First Matoran. He takes care of the Book of History, and spends a lot of time alone with the book.
Biography[]
Long ago, Mata Nui created Arkam, along with the other First Matoran, and placed them on Dromii to live there. However, Dromii started to sink, and Mata Nui made Hangi a Toa to relocate them to Manuin. Arkam was one of the Matoran to be evacuated. He experienced the storm which was caused by the creation of Manuin, along with the others. Finally, they found Manuin, and Hangi became a Turaga.
Hangi made Arkam the guardian and safekeeper of his new Book of History. It also became Arkam's job to update it every day. Arkam became isolated from the others, only spending time with the book. He rarely saw anyone else, although Matoran often came to him to read the Book of History for information.
When Makaatu made his final strike on the village and captured the Matoran in Matoran Spheres, Arkam was the last one to get captured, as he was hiding in a cave with the book. Arkam was captured, however, and taken away.
His sphere was rescued by the First Toa and he was awakened with the rest in the Hangi Canyon. He had forgotten everything of the past, which made the new Turaga upset. The Book of History had been taken to the new home by Ilona, however, and she made Arkam its guardian again. Arkam continued his job, alone as usual.
When the Great Flood came, Arkam took the Book of History and went hiding into the local shopping center with the others. After the flood, Mata Nui gave the Matoran Eleven Assignments. Arkam's job during this time was mainly to record everything about it. When the migration back to Dromii began, Arkam took the Book of History with him and recorded the whole journey, along with the rising of Dromii.
Currently Arkam, has his personal room in the Turaga Chamber, where he still guards the Book of History.
Abilities and Traits[]
Arkam is a calm and somewhat lonely Matoran. He has much knowledge of the past, since he spends all of his days with the Book of History.
He carries a staff that helps him turn the pages of the book without damaging them and to record events in it.
