Anatomy is a short Bionicle story based in RaiserOfCain's Acropolis universe. It follows an Onu-Toa named Gantrak and his investigations into anatomy.

Story[]

"Huh," Gantrak murmured, "so that's what their hearstone looks like inside..."

Gantrak hunched over a table in an otherwise empty warehouse, scalpel in hand and a light strapped to his mask. On the table was a dead Ta-Matoran. Gantrak killed this one cleanly. He choked him out. Good thing he did that and didn't butcher him like the other guards.

The Ta-Matoran's torso had been slit open. Inside, everything was visible. His intestines, lungs, various other organs. Clotted blood loitered in crevices in the Matoran's body. Gantrak enjoyed plucking those out.

In other places, metal plates held everything in. There was a liver in a metal box, and the bottoms of the Matoran's lungs were encased in metal. His ribs rested over the lungs, and each one had been replaced with a metal supplement.

The table would have been exquisite, before Gantrak had gotten to it. It looked like a fancy slab of marble on four fancy stone pillars. Now, there was a blood channel carved into it, and an indent for the organs of the dead Matoran, including his Kanohi Mahiki. Gantrak thought Noble Mahiki were ugly. They had what looked like veins on them, and the eye-slits looked plain uncomfortable.

Gantrak made another incision, revealing something new in the Matoran. It was a greyish colour and was wrapped in web-like, glowing yellow veins. Now he was more interested. The yellow and black-clad Toa of Earth made another cut, and the thing started gushing with a sickly, green-yellow liquid.

Gantrak was confused. He poked at it some more, then stopped, frowning.

"Could have sworn Little Red's hand twitched..." Gantrak mumbled.

And it did.

Before he knew it, this little red Matoran was covered in the same veins. The liquid was spewing from its eyes and mouth, any hole big enough for the goo to flow from. Gantrak punched the thing in the head, only succeeding in knocking it over. The thing got up, off the table. Gantrak backed off and the goo-matoran followed, dripping the liquid onto the chunks of security guard. Gantrak sighed at the sight of his torso incision, the thing was gushing with the liquid.

Another perfectly good subject ruined.

Gantrak gathered more strength this time, and when he punched it in the head, his hand went through. He removed his hand from the large hole and extracted chunks of skull from his hand.

He climbed a few warehouse crates up to the top, found a skylight and punched it through. He climbed into the roof-window and onto the roof, then began his escape from the warehouse. He cursed and muttered. His interest for Matoran anatomy was going to kill him, and at least 2 more subjects-to-be.

But, for now, he'd have to lay low and stay out of the way.
