- "Just because I'm quiet like a stone in conversation does not mean I am unwise."
- ―Amahain
Amahain was a female Toa of Stone native to one of the Southern Islands until she was transported to Skya Nui. She was a rare anomaly among Po-Matoran, being female instead of the standard male gender.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Amahain was originally a Matoran of Stone created by the Great Beings to work on the Great Spirit Robot. She was originally tasked to the southern part of the Matoran universe, and helped aid in construction of several locations there.
Once construction was complete, she was placed on one of the islands she had helped build.
At some unidentified point in time, Amahain was transformed into a Toa. She worked with a team of Toa native to her land, helping protect the island from many dangers. The island eventually came under the attention of the Dark Hunters, who sought to set up a base there for reasons unknown to the native Matoran. The Toa rejected the mercenaries' proposition, beginning a short lived conflict between their team and the band of Dark Hunters set against them.
Amahain was caught in a Dark Hunter ambush during a patrol with one of her fellow Toa. He was killed, and she lost her arm in the battle. Believing her to be dead, Amahain survived the encounter. After being healed in their village, her leader expelled her from the group, and causing her to become a drifter.
For several millennia, Amahain traveled from village to village, helping those in need and solving local problems.
Skya Nui[]
Nine-hundred years after the Great Cataclysm, Amahain was summoned by Rundas to the legendary floating continent of Skya Nui to combat a threat appearing within its sphere.
Abilities and Traits[]
Amahain is a stoical, aloof Toa who prefers to regard conversations in silence and shelter her emotions, often acting in subtler ways. She does not do this out of malice, but simply because she does not speak unless she feels she has the need to. Because of this, others often view her as cold and callous, despite her usually being present in social settings.
Due to her past as both an anomaly and a failure to her former Toa Team, Amahain is very reserved and less daring than most Toa. She often refuses to talk of her past, and focuses intently on her goals. She also tends to become very loyal to her team, valuing nearly all other lives above her own.
Trivia[]
- Amahain's name is based on the Irish word for "one."
