Acasta is a Po-Matoran lifelong inhabitant of Lanai Nui who, along with his best friends Khormu and Tegis, was indirectly responsible for reawakening the Makuta Contingency. An outgoing and forceful individual, Acasta is a kindhearted and somewhat overbearing Matoran who is determined to make up for his awakening of the Contingency.
History[]
Early Life[]
Acasta, like most Po-Matoran, began his life shortly before the completion of the Great Spirit Robot on Spherus Magna. He was placed on Lanai Nui with a number of other Matoran, and for many years, he labored in a non-sentient state, an existence which would give way to full sentience sometime shortly after the Great Spirit Robot's takeoff into interstellar space.
Acasta's life was a generally peaceful and unchanging one. Shortly after the consolidation of the Noblintian Empire, Acasta, by virtue of his notable intellectual gifts, attended university on Noblintia, where he earned a master's-equivalent degree in cultural anthropology. He returned to his native Lanai Nui and documented the culture of the island's Matoran, authoring a paper on his homeland, and would go on to travel the Matoran Universe and document the habits of a variety of other cultures. His most notable adventure was an expedition to the rougher parts of Stelt, from which he barely escaped with his life.
Life on Lanai Nui, Great Cataclysm, and Beyond[]
Always possessed of a sunny and sociable disposition, Acasta made many friends on Lanai Nui, foremost among them a Su-Matoran fellow anthropologist named Adzen. He was known to have interacted unknowingly with Cephas in Po-Lanai, where he made his home, while the former was still a Matoran, but miraculously escaped murder. At some point just prior to the Great Cataclysm, Acasta published a study on the economic interactions of the Noblintian Empire and the Brotherhood of Makuta. As this study proved to possess knowledge dangerous to the perception of the Brotherhood of Makuta, Acasta was approached by a representative of Makuta Imperas and ordered to withdraw his paper and resign on pain of death. He did so, but developed a great suspicion of the Brotherhood.
Acasta did not directly suffer from the effects of the Great Cataclysm, but he was greatly disheartened and not surprised by Imperas' attack on Lanai Nui and seizure of power. He was elated when his dear friend Adzen was selected to become a part of the Toa Lanai I, but lost contact with him soon after and became saddened. Having taken up a new career as a traveling salesman of rare artifacts, Acasta moved to an isolated cabin in the savannas of Po-Lanai. He often visited the rural borderlands of Po-Lanai and Onu-Lanai, where he would meet Tegis, Kuros, and Feldspar and become fast friends with all of them. After Khormu began to visit Po-Lanai, Acasta became especially close to the withdrawn Ta-Matoran, bonding over their intellectual interests and his desire to bring Khormu out of his shell.
After Imperas' final attack on Lanai Nui that resulted in the deaths of most of the Toa Lanai I, Acasta was haunted by the death of Adzen. He regretted not keeping in contact with his dear friend, but resolved to better himself and cherish his current friends in memory of the Toa of Plasma. He took Adzen's former Toa Tools, a pair of sharpened scoops, into his possession and would consider them his most prized possessions.
Due to the fact that Makuta Teridax's takeover of the Matoran Universe was halted by the Toa Mahri and Toa Nuva in The Fall Alternate Timeline, and that Spherus Magna was never reformed and the Matoran Universe never destroyed as a consequence, Acasta continued to live on Lanai Nui instead of emigrating onto Spherus Magna. Additionally, Imperas and his fellow Makuta were never killed by Teridax, and continued to slumber beneath Lanai Nui. Three years after the defeat of Teridax, Acasta, while on an exploration of Onu-Lanai's caverns with Khormu and Tegis, discovered the dormant members of the Makuta Contingency and accidentally awakened them. He, as well as Khormu and Tegis, were fortunate enough to escape alive.

Traits and Abilities[]
As a Po-Matoran, Acasta possessed a very limited degree of elemental control over Stone, which manifested as a resistance to thirst and an aversion to bodies of water. He wore a powerless Kanohi Kakama, Mask of Speed.
Personality[]
Acasta is an outgoing and extremely caring individual who is deeply loyal to his friends. He is genuinely curious about others and strives to learn about them, a quality that has been helpful to him in his anthropological studies. However, Acasta is somewhat overbearing and patronizing, as he feels that he knows best for others and can come across as condescending in this sense. He is very paternal and protective in character, and his friends might describe him as having "dad energy." Acasta also has a volatile temper and a tendency to jump to conclusions, which manifests primarily when he is defending the people he cares about.
